I got into film portrait photography when I was able to get consistent results in my developing and scanning. I mostly shoot medium format (120) portraits on my Kiev 88. The format naturally separates the subject from background by creating a hazy "painted" look. Because of the films size, each shot contains an extreme amount of detail that is complimented by a fine grain that, in all smooths out the image. Some images in the gallery are 35mm and digital, lets see if you can spot the difference!
